Well, I am making it official. It has been over a month since I have heard from the person in question. I have changed the ringtone on all of their phone numbers so if they call my cell I know to ignore it. It is sad that we have reached this point but I tried and if they don't want to be my friend then I am not going to force my friendship on them.

Raptors make the Playoffs!!!

I went to the Raptors final regular season game yesterday. It was a lot of fun. The Raptors lost but you know what they do that a lot when I go to see them play. They are 6-8 when I go to a HOME game. Home games I don't attend: 24-3. Needless to say, I am not going to any playoff games. The Raptors got the dramatic matchup with Vince Carter and the Nets coming to town. Should be really interesting. I would prefer less drama in Bosh's first post-season but at this point you have to take what you can get. Speaking about taking what you get, I woke up this morning to hear on the radio that the first game was at 12:30pm on Saturday. I was excited, I would have to skip a baseball practice but I was excited. My Mom came to wake me up (I was sleeping in) and I told her how excited I was to have the first game on saturday. She said that reminded her, "You will have to drive with your brother out to your Uncle Herb's on saturday." I was very confused, no idea what she was talking about. There are no birthdays or anything right now. Any ways, it seems I have some family function at 2pm saturday in Whitby. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? I went from an incredible high to an enormous low in the first TWO minutes of my day. I am still sad.

I went with my parents to a SNL show at Casino Rama this weekend. The stars of this show were Joe Piscopo, Victoria Jackson and Father Guido Sarducci. I had heard of Piscopo but I didn't really know the guy (couldn't pick him out of a lineup). Victoria Jackson I knew from UHF and maybe one or two other things. Sarducci I never heard of (his real name being Don Novello). Piscopo led off with a few jokes a lot of songs. The guy proved all night that he knows how to play instruments. He played the drums, guitar, sax and maybe a flute. He wasn't the only one with a special talent. Victoria at the age of 47 was able to do a handstand for at least a minute. That impressed me because she was not looking the least bit fit. She gained a lot of weight in her face. She said a lot of blonde jokes They were funny. Here is one:

Last but not least the Father was funny. He never left character and it is a good character but he let a joke run a little bit too long. Actually Victoria was guilty of the same thing. The show was good but the last point I just made could be said about the whole show. These three might be teetering on the edge of show biz and hopefully they know when to quit and don't try to stay to long.

That leads me to the question you are probably asking yourself. Did I gamble? Did I know when to hold them and when to fold them? I only had $5 on me but my Mom wanted company while she gambled so I joinned her. After 3 minutes I was done. 5 cents machine.... I won $9.50 from it in 3 minutes. :)

Mike toth, Uncle Eddie, and two weeks until closing

God Mike Toth is a tool. He has been filling in for Bobcat for the afternoon drive on the FAN590. When he is suppose to be having open calls he is constantly leading calls to his own agenda. He wants to talk about hockey all the time, especially the OHL. His hour of embarassing stories was alright if we weren't listening to a sports station. I hope I never have to hear him on the radio ever again.

Meanwhile the show "Grounded for Life" was suggested to me. There is this one character "Eddie". The guy is annoying. I want to smack some sense into him.

Last but not least, it is two weeks until closing on my condo. I still have no renter. I am screwed.

Sarah Silverman Program, Psych, Ferris in Legos and the Death of a Hero!

I watched the Sarah Silverman Program over the last couple of days. It is crap, but I can't stop watching it. I just watch it and say, how did this make it on the air.

Sportsnet has unveiled its new image for its sports news show and it sucks. You can tell they are trying too hard to be cool and it isn't working. They have the hosts sitting on a wooden bench wearing jeans. What the hell is with that? The only good thing about the show is Martine and this new girl I saw hosting some type of internet information part of the show.

Meanwhile in other sports news, I saw Deke (Mutombo to everyone who doesn't know his nickname) get T-ed up for wagging his trademark finger. What is happening to the game when Deke can't do his thing?

I saw the new Bond movie last night. I never watched Bond movies before Pierce Brosnan. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue afterwards. I have to say the new Bond guy was badass. He was cool. I liked the movie, it was fun. I will continue to watch Bond movies. There was one thing that troubled me... "R" wasn't in the movie. They took the time to replace Q with John Cleese but yet he wasn't in the movie. I also felt they tried too hard to be an origin movie... but it was a fun ride!!

I am going to tell you about the coolest bank ever. It isn't because it has hot chicks behind the counter (although it does!!), it isn't because I know somebody who works behind the counter (I don't!!!) it is because they put a TV right beside the lineup and they showed LAW & ORDER!!!! During my lunch a friend needed to do some banking and I followed them in prepared to be bored. Instead I saw a dead body in a garden and Lenny and Green were on the case!!! I was listening to Bobcat last night on Primetime Sports and he is convinced that the Penguins (of the NHL) will be moving to Kitchener/Waterloo. I am excited that a young up and coming team that looks committed to winning is coming to the GTA. I am now thinking of getting Penguins jerseys and hats and everything. Hell I am thinking about buying a place out there because of this!! Man a team that is actually committed to trying to win a stanley cup could be coming to the GTA!!! Amazing news!

Last night something big happened in baseball. No it wasn't a Ryan Howard HR. No, had nothing to do with that Bonds guy. Last night the New York Mets beat the Florida Marlins, eliminating any chance of the Atlanta Braves from winning the division. The Braves won 14 straight division titles which is an awesome run. Kudos to everyone he contributed over the last 14 years. Here's to them starting a new streak next year!!!

I remember the first time I saw Irwin do his thing. I went out to Hamilton to see the Hip with James. We were at some house waiting for others to get ready and they had this show on TV. I saw this guy talking about poisonous snakes and such and the snake jumped at him. He jumped away and then he did something that surprised me. He got even closer to the snake. So I went golfing with my Dad on the holiday monday. As we were driving there I showed concern about the sun and the heat. My Dad said to me "The sun is going down". My Dad has never heard T-Bone say that so at that moment I knew we were going to have an interesting time golfing. On the 3rd hole I beat my Dad! This lead my Dad to remind me that we are not competing against each other... yea right! On the 6th hole I hit my ball over a little stream of water. I told my Dad I would go after it and he told me to walk around to one of the bridges. I laughed this was a stream not a river. I hopped over it with ease. It was the landing that was the problem. I did not land on solid ground. I lost my shoe with the first step. The second step involved mud up to my knee. Finally after 3 steps... solid ground. I was also standing beside my ball at this point. So I then hit a perfect shot back to the fairway and then called my Dad over so that he could help me extract my shoe from the mud. It was disgusting. My Dad was not happy with the situation but all I could say to him was this "You were right". On the 7th hole I watched as the other three knocked their balls into some water on the right. When I stepped up for my drive I said "I would aim to the left and if I hit a house then hey at least I am not in the water!" I proceeded to hit a ball off somebody's second floor balancy/deck. My Dad did not let me finish the hole. I was fine with that because I was busy trying to scrap mud off of shoes, socks, legs, etc.

Baseball news!

This weekend my baseball team played in a baseball tournament. Our first game was at 8:30am saturday morning (made sure I didn't stay up late on friday night). We won our first 3 games on the day and found our way into the finals! This is the one sad moment on the day because we lost the game by 4 runs. :( But I am happy to say that our newest recruit played pretty well. Jimbo played for the team. Jimbo played well. He was very "Cuch"like in his performance.

Meanwhile in MLB news... the Yankees made tons of trades at the deadline while the Jays who are over 5 games back did.... nothing. Damn. Season feels like it is over!

A friend of mine was telling me about how he feels these are words to live by. I can tell you this if somebody lives by this philosophy they will be attempting a lot of 3-ways with 2 women. Examples of how this friend followed the philosophy and how he didn't:

Followed: Relaxing in kid's pool on FRONT lawn instead of the usual BACK lawn.

I got it from the library but I think it is a really good book! It is a collection of columns that Smith has written but so many of them are funny! He talks frankly about his life and everything. Not a Kevin Smith fan, have no fear, it sounds like Smith isn't either!! I am going to buy this book off amazon. I have to! I think everyone who reads this should either do the same or hit a local library.

Meanwhile the Raptors used their #1 pick in the NBA draft to draft a 20 year old Italian named Andrea Bargnani (he is the one in the green). He is 7 feet tall and he can hit 3s. He still needs to grow up and fill out but he could be a really great pick!

man it has been a busy couple of weeks. There has been so much I could talk about... sadly somebody has been posting a lot of the same stuff on his blog.

First, congrats to the Canes winning the Stanley Cup. I applaud the Oilers efforts but I don't think they deserved to make the playoffs so in the end I think the more deserving team won.

Second, a bird shit on me this weekend. Of all the rotten luck.

Third, I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to beat this character on Hot Shots Golf. His name is T-Bone. He is the guy in the background of the picture. Finally beat his ass last night!! "The Sun is going down!!"

Next, Spider-man revealed his SECRET identity to the whole world. I hate this idea because this means that Peter can hang out with his old supporting cast members anymore. Flash, Liz, Robbie, Betty, they all would be at risk. I do not approve of this idea.

Tonight we have Game 6 of the NBA finals. Shaq and Wade have been kicking some Mavs butt lately but they are going back to Dallas where the Mavs are very good! Should be a great game!!

Last but not least I am still doing my favourite girl poll/contest thing I just put it on hold for a bit.

Sports and Quizno's

I love the chicken carbonara at Quizno's. Great sandwich all they have to do is hold the mushrooms. They actually ask every time you go up to the counter: "Mushrooms?" I say "No". But somehow the new location close to work has screwed that up 2 out of 6 times!! The lineup is long so i have spent like 15 minutes in the place by the time I get my food, when I find it screwed up I just TRY and pick all the crap out instead of waiting another 5-10 minutes. But these guys are close to losing my business!!

Meanwhile it is time to talk sports. First locally, I played baseball and basketball last night. My ankle still wasn't 100% and my Dad did NOT want me to play basketball but I was planning on any ways. First baseball, I hit a homer in the first inning... except I couldn't run around the bases because of the ankle and I hobbled into 3rd (hello Kirk Gibson). We won, I played alright overall. Basketball was going to be tough and it was early on. But once the adreline hit I was alright. I almost got my teeth knocked out by one player driving to the net (Michael Lim) but 5 minutes later I made a top 5 play of the year for myself. Lim was all alone on the fast break but I hustled after him and CLEANLY blocked his ass from behind. I was putting so much effort that i let out a grunt which people playfully made fun of but my teammates respected my effort and performance. Last but not least, Hoffa Araujo has been traded by the Raptors. The guy didn't deserve all the boos he got and I wish him all the best. I think he got a raw deal here in Toronto having to clean up the rest of the team's horrible defence. The player coming back is some guy named Kris Humpreies or something, I have decided to just call him "Hump".

I love redheads, always have. Maybe it is the little bit of Irish in me. The three girls nominated today are beautiful. The first one is Kate Mara, she played a lesbian cheerleader on Nip/Tuck.
Coming up second, we have beautiful Donn... I mean Laura. I was not happy with Laura changed her hair colour to blonde but the amazing thing was that she was still HOT! Looks better as a redhead but still HOT!
Last but not least, I am sure that you recognize beautiful Scarlett. She has become a big movie actress but I still remember first noticing her in an early role in GHOST WORLD. She has grown up a lot since then!

The girls from Smallville!! Although I find Lana annoying as hell, she is also cute as hell! She was born in Canada (definite bonus points) and even more important she is half Dutch and half Indonesian Chinese. I love girls that have that mixed look!

Meanwhile her co-star from the last couple of years is also Canadian, Erica Durance! She plays Lois Lane, a much more likable character. Erica has also definitely gotten her breasts done before joinning the show. I prefer natural myself but they still look good right now! And yes Vince that is her stripping on stage. Lois was going undercover at a stripjoint. I love Smallville!!

Last but not least, Rob nominated James. I am sorry but I cannot accept this as an official nomination unless James proves to me that he is definitely a woman. There are lots of clues that he is but it has never been proven.

"X3 - Last Stand" Opens Today!!

I am very excited. Although the title makes this sound like the end of a trilogy I am hoping this movie does well and we get more of them! I am going to see the movie tomorrow but I am not sure who will come with me because of all the mixed reviews the movie is receiving. The TORONTO STAR gave it 1.5 stars. Meanwhile the blind movie reviewer on edge102 (my favourite movie reviewer) gave it a good review with 3 blurries out of 5. That is pretty good when the guy had trouble telling Sir Ian and Jean-Luc's voices apart. Funny joke they made this morning with the guy: They asked him what he was doing tomorrow. He said he was helping a buddy move. They started laughing and then the guy said,

"What room do you want it in? Okay... what room am I in?" They also made jokes that he would be moving the furniture into the neighbours place and even funnier "The Beer Store".

Don't get me wrong I love the show but the one mistake the show has made is that they had Robin have feelings for Ted in the first season. To successful prolong the show's life they need to make the whole story take longer. Mid-second season would have been a good time to have this reveal and last week's finale could have been a season 2 finale at the earliest. Where thye are going to go from here, I do not know. But I like pretending that there is some mystery with who Ted is going to end up with.

so, I played basketball last night and I got matched up against this tall guy. In the previous game he had been hitting shots left and right. I took this guy apart defensively. I was a defensive animal last night. So any ways after we won our first game, our big man left the game and suddenly I was the tallest player on our team. My team looked at ourselves and looked at the other team and we knew we were over-matched. So I took the team under my wing and played defence like I was describing above and I kicked some ass on the offensive end. We got a 4-1 lead and we were one shot from winning but just came up short (I was OPEN on the last possession, could have won it!). It was a great night of basketball!!

Also in the NBA, the HEAT finished kicking Wince Carter and the Nets asses. And then I stayed up past 2am to watch the Suns beat the Clips in DOUBLE overtime!

Today James returns from the land down under (yes his Mom is that BIG!). I want to plan a party in his honour but he won't be the only guest of honour. In the next couple of weeks Cuchis Maximus will be moving to Montreal. We should give him a "Going away" party! So I figure why not combine the two! Email me or post here if you are in. Not sure what night next weekend or where (I prefer at my house) but let's get it done!!

In other news, Cuch finally gave me pictures from Cuba, it isn't so bad we just went there in December. All he had to do was give me a CD or DVD with them on it but it took him 5 months! That is all for now and for all you haters who think the first line was harsh, Mother's Day was YESTERDAY not today!!

The Jays are 2 games behind the Red Sox for first place in the AL East. Now after all the money they spent in the offseason you might have been expecting better results BUT they are 19-15 which is nothing to sneeze at. When you take into account that they have had pitching injuries to Doc, Chacin and AJ Burnett, that is a pretty good record. When you take into account that they have one starting pitcher who is 0-7.... makes that 19-15 record look pretty good doesn't it? Another good sign: Jays are 15-6 in NIGHT games.
How have they been winning all these games? With their bats! Glaus, Wells, Molina, Overbay and Hillenbrand have been all performing as expected. One pleasant surprise has been Alex Rios who is having an Allstar caliber season so far!! The Jays just finished winning two of three from Oakland and now they are going to face the Tampa Bay. A winning streak could be beginning!!

Scary Moment!!

I played basketball last night much like every tuesday and there was a scary moment during the game. I was running back on defence when I saw two of the guys who were sitting off propping a third guy up (looked like a scene from "Weekend at Bernie's"). I ran over and it looked like they were dropping the unconscious guy and I helped them hold him up and then lay him down on the floor. Scott then took over as the guy in charge of first aid while another guy called an ambulance. I made sure that Albert stayed laying down on his side while Scott checked his pulse and asked him and the other guys who were sitting off questions. The guy slowly became more and more resposive but he never got up and when the ambulance arrived they carted him off to York General. We were thinking it was some type of allergic reaction but Scott told me one of his fears was that Albert might have had some type of stroke or something. I will find out more tomorrow at basketball.

Vince was a hater last week for the cake trick... except I did get the cake the next day. Meanwhile Cuch is the BIGGEST hater of the week. He has committed to hanging out three times this week and didn't show up every time! He was also suppose to give me pictures from our trip to Cuba when we see each other next. I asked Vince to leave left over chocolate cake on my doorstep this morning. When i got up this morning there was no cake. I assumed he didn't drop it off. WRONG! He decided to lie to me about dropping off the chocolate cake! Who lies about chocolate cake? Somebody who is allergic to it and hates on the fact that he can't eat chocolate!

Meanwhile... my baseball team lost last night, we are now 0-2. I went to basketball afterwards and got to work off my anger, after losing the first game the team I was playing on won SIX games straight!!!

The LA Lakers and the Phoenix Suns are playing one hell of a playoff series!! I was rooting for the Suns going in to the series because I like their style of play and I like their MVP. But the Lakers came out and played a great team basketball and looked great! They took a 3-1 lead in the series and although the Suns won game 5, they lost Raja Bell because of stupid foul he commited on Kobe. So with their backs against the wall, facing elimination in LA and without their best defender, Suns beat the Lakers last night! How did they win? Because of the heroics of Tiny Tim Thomas! Thomas had a double-double and he hit a clutch 3 to send the game to overtime!! Thomas has come a long way from earlier this season when he was paid to stay home!! Game 7 tomorrow night starting at 8pm (which works better then the 10:30pm start time... the games don't end until after 1am, on a school night!). I am staying in to watch it! Everyone come on over!!!

It is a drama about some people in their late 20s, I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it but Christa and Cuch have become big fans of the show. PLayed some N64 last night... I still got it!! I have to admit Will was doing really well in GOLDENEYE but in my defence the weapons required aim!! When we switched games to Mario Kart that is when I really started to play well! Although I had Toad STOLEN from me (I earned the right to be him TWICE) I still won most races.

NBA Playoff Predictions!!

The playoffs start this weekend! I am really excited! It would be nice if the Raptors had find a way in but I think if they make the right moves they can find the 7th spot next year! Going into the playoffs I decided to root for a couple of underdogs (Bulls and Clips) and my favourite Western conference team: the Phoenix Suns. I also want to see Lebron and his Cavs do well. So because of this I might be biast when it comes to their series... but I don't think I am. On to my predictions!

Eastern Conference:
Bucks vs. Pistons - Pistons in 5. Was there any doubt?
Bulls vs. Heat - Bulls in 6. This is the prediction where I will most likely be wrong but I believe in the Bulls. They have some big bodies that can slow down Shaq and they have toughness.
Pacers vs. Nets - Nets in 5. I hate this prediction because I hate Vince Carter but I just can't see the Pacers being able to keep up with the Nets attack.
Cavs vs. Wizards - Cavs in 6. Lebron has Hughes back and that should be able to get them through the first round... next round?

Western Conference:

Kings vs. Spurs - Spurs in 6. Good effort by the Kings but it won't be enough.
Mavs vs. Griz. - Mavs in 5. I like the Griz. but the Mavs are just too good!
Clips vs. Nuggets - Clips in 6. Clippers finally win a playoffs series. Their team has talent but how far will that get them?
Lakers vs. Suns - Suns in 6. Kobe is a amazing player but the Suns have an amazing team. Kobe will score 60 a game in this series but the Suns are going to score 120!

So my parents and I were looking at condos today in a familiar neighbourhood. The building was the same building my parents lived in before the move to Richmond Hill. Technically I lived there as a baby. It is right beside Senaca's main campus. Good price for 2 bedroom and 3 bedrooms condos. I just wish they were closer to the subway.

So the washrooms at work only have two urinals and they are side-by-side. Yesterday I walked into a empty washroom and stepped up to the urinal. 2 seconds later my boss comes in and uses the urinal beside me. I think my boss and Cuch have been talking... because my boss then started a conversation with me. That was a horrible minute.... very uncomfortable. Later that day I went to a different washroom on the floor in an attempt not to have the same occurance. Instead after 2 seconds at the urinal a black dude came in and used the urinal beside me. He also tried to spark up a conversation with me and the guy doesn't even know my name! So uncomfortable!!! James needs to come by the office and post his washroom etiquette rules (excerpt from email):

The Jays openned their 2006 season yesterday! I was at the game and it was great! My Dad was planning on meeting me at the subway yesterday so that we could go down to the Raptor game. He was going to catch the bus on bathurst. A bus came down and it said "SUBWAY" on it so my Dad hopped on. He thought it was funny that the two other people didn't also get on. This bus took him to Richmond Hill high and then it stopped around time square. Why did it stop at time's square you ask? (this is my favourite part!) Because the bus driver wanted to have a smoke!!! That is hateful! Stopping the bus to have a smoke! So any ways... the bus then takes my Dad down to the subway... the Sheppard line! He sat at Don Mills for 5 minutes waiting for the subway to start moving! Finally about 45 minutes late, he arrives at our meeting place! The lesson is: Across know your bus number!!

The Fall of "The OC"

I didn't want to watch it. I stayed away from it. In the end, Cuch lent me season 1 and told me I had to watch it. As with most TV shows on dvd I stormed through them. The plotlines were pretty generic but the dialogue was witty. I was loving it so much that I couldn't wait for season 2!!! While other shows might add new cast members at this point, the OC did not do this. They added characters but these characters would only be on the show for a story arc. After the character's arc they would either move away, die or just simply disappear. Because of the lack of regular characters, viewer are left with the four principle "teenage" characters breaking up and getting back together because of the lack of alternate love interests. The show still has the witty dialogue but it doesn't make up for the recycling of plotlines. Cuch told me this wweek that he is doen with the show. I will finish this season but I am not sure about next season.
This isn't the only show losing its magic. I find myself hoping that certain other shows get cancelled. Why did I still watch these shows... because I still love the characters.

I am watching an old episode of Scrubs and there is a great rant by Dr. Cox on right now. I will take an exerpt from it: "Let me share with you something I like to call Perry's Perspective: 1-If someone is standing in front of me in line at the coffee shop and they can't decide what they want in the half hour it took to get to the register, I should be allowed to kill them; 2-I am fairly sure if they took porn off the internet, there would only be one website left and it would be called 'Bring back the Porn'; 3..." The Canadian baseball team beat the USA today at the World Baseball Classic! It was awesome!! On the USA team you have players like A-Rod, Clemons and Jeter. We have players like Stubby, Stein and Cyr.

I got to see the X3 trailer yesterday, it was cool. That was good.
I forgot to mention that yesterday my Dad dropped a safe on my leg. That was bad. But I found "Fruit by the Foot" in my pocket this morning. That is good. At work I kept getting electric shocks all day long! I even got one powerful one through my headphones into my ears. That was really bad (head still feels funny). Can't wait to see how basketball goes.

LATER: Basketball went well. I was still scoring and I was getting tons of compliments on my defence.

Yesterday was Pancake Tuesday and I didn't get to have any but tomorrow hopefully I will have some. Today was Ash Wednesday and I went to a service at work and got the ashes and everything. I am thinking of giving something up for Lent. Any ideas?

Now for the second part... TV!! Two of my favourite shows were on tonight! First the Raptors (they lost a close game) and then there is LOST! It was a fantastic episode!! Could be the best of the season! If you aren't watching this show then you should be!
