My new favourite hockey team?

I was listening to Bobcat last night on Primetime Sports and he is convinced that the Penguins (of the NHL) will be moving to Kitchener/Waterloo. I am excited that a young up and coming team that looks committed to winning is coming to the GTA. I am now thinking of getting Penguins jerseys and hats and everything. Hell I am thinking about buying a place out there because of this!! Man a team that is actually committed to trying to win a stanley cup could be coming to the GTA!!! Amazing news!

What's with the retro logo dude? And they will be changing their name if they move to Kitchener/Waterloo. They won't be the penguins anymore.

Reasons why they won't move to the GTA.
- Ownership would have to pay for the stadium.
- MLSE would demand fees for moving a team that close to Toronto.
- The NHL would not allow a team to move from the States to the Canada.

The reasons you just listed... are they suppose to be against Kitchener/Waterloo? I told my Dad and I am now telling you... don't fight with Bobcat, he knows his stuff. In order:

- Ownership created the blackberry. The guy is like Mark Cuban, he doesn't care if he has to build a stadium.
- No they wouldn't. Kitchner/Waterloo is just outside the radius of the Leafs. Hamilton wouldn't be but Kitchener is.
- Bobcat never touched on this... I don't see why the NHL would be a problem. Pittsburgh has sucked as an NHL town lately I don't see them complaining too much.

Yes, but you see, Primetime Bob, isn't very smart. He's a reporter with an attitude, that's it.

This new owner is not like Mark Cuban. Cuban is a fan with too much money. This guy, his business is not making a huge amount of money right now. Some sort of patent infringment lawsuit in the states is costing RIM millions in just the legal fees, never mind the amount they could lose if they are found guilty. And that has caused their stock to drop. That's where his wealth exists. In stocks. Cuban got a 20 billion dollar payday from Yahoo!
